As this will probably be my last trip to the UK I have a lot to do in the few week there. When I was there last time my brother only had Alfie the Wolf Hound so it will be great to see if he remembers the walks we had in Mote Park and the local roads. There are now another 2 Grey Hounds so I will have to be careful.

A few photos of Alfie, out and about and sleeping it off. πŸ™‚

Chatham hasn`t changed much over the years, the fruit and veg stalls are still in the street. The most unusual thing was in the other photo taken near the bus center they had a UFO parked and somebody was giving a big speech nearby about visitors from other worlds. πŸ™‚

In the High Street there was an electric three wheeler writing on the walkway controlled by a laptop. further up in town there was a walkway to cross the road, which took a good 6 minutes but on the way back IΒ  went across the road and it took as many seconds. πŸ™‚

Back in Maidstone and we have the Bishops Palace and the Victoria monument both landmarks in the center of town. I normally stay here but it seems to have more closed shops every time I visit. I don`t know what Brexit will do in the future ?

I went to Whitstable to see the wind farm and have lunch and a beer for old times sake. it was very crowded and difficult to find a parking place. When I was in my teens there used to be a pirate radio station, Radio Caroline, anchored out near the wind farm. At the time BBC wouldn`t broadcast Rock and Roll, so it was Medium wave 199 if you wanted to listen. I was living in Broadstairs then so we got a good signal.

My local pub which wasn`t open last time. Some Pubs only open at 15.00 hrs . Many have closed permanently because of no-smoking and the price of beer. The other shop on the corner is a wine and beer shop where I got all my ingredients for makingΒ  wine and beer in 5 gallon vessels. This blog is getting a bit long so I wish you all the best, and sign off. πŸ™‚

Even though the cat is fed twice a day it just seems to like finding it`s own, and using a lot more energy πŸ™‚

The pig seems to be protecting it`s food quite well even against a pitbull.

I think I will be moving again soon and hope things go a bit smoother. Maybe a removal company would be better πŸ™‚

I would just like to know how it was put under my windscreen wiper blade 1000 km away.

It`s strange when you look at photos after downsizing. Sometimes you don`t remember where they went, other times giving things away leaves a lasting memory.

These were made from bits of wood that I found in Tokia forest, but gave them all away to friends and family. Some I still see when I visit old friends.

This display was on the wall of my workshop, most of them are now in the UK at my brothers Dojo and are still seem by many of his students.

This is the bike that was raced at the Rainbow track in Jo`burg when Mike Bramley still ran `Hells Angels` They were great days and possible the best motor cycling days of my life.

This was my first car that I had to get once the family started to grow. It was quite good for the kids as we had a nice mattress in the back so they could sleep when they wanted to. I don`t think this would be allowed now but seat belts were no a requirement then. This was in Durban where I traded it in for a Valiant so we could drive down to Cape Town.

When walking on the beach it is very common to see old trees and other driftwood. if you are going by growth rings this one has been around for some time.

When I went out in a boat there were quite a few birds around and they were fishing a lot better than we were.

As we came towards the beach there were a lot of Dolphins playing in the surf, some jumped like this one but a lot just broke the waves and carried on feeding.

In the garden as the sun goes down I get quite a lot of Bats flying over but I haven`t found where the come from yet.

I didn`t even know it was another holiday until i went to the Chemist and found it closed. Then I came home and switch the TV on but the news was full of JZ stating it was a day for the oppressed workers, couldn`t see his point so switched off.

Well with that over I think it was better when I woke up at least the Sunrise was better.

I did a bit of gardening while my Wife sowed some seeds. today was good for harvesting the Carrots, Turnips and a few late tomatoes. The Chinese Cabbages seem to be overgrowing as we haven`t eaten so many lately. Every time i turn the soil over there seems to be more Mantis around, some of them are brown which seems a bit unusual. As for spiders they are prolific at the moment, maybe looking for warmer places. although if the Butcher Bird sees them they are breakfast πŸ™‚

My Daughter is selling the Whale Watching business so I won`t be getting so many whale photos for my blog. This is one of my favorites maybe because it was the first time I got up close at a Breaching. Before most were Videos and were taken from the cliffs in Hermanus. a whale washed up on the beach there and i was asked to film the whole of the Flensing operation because they just wanted the bones for a museum exhibition.

I think a few of the old jokes may liven the day. Have a great weekend.
