To save space on this blog I have put Alice on a fresh blog, if anyone is interested in the life of a pig, click on the photo below. š
Yesterday I tried our new road, and it`s falling apart. As I said in an earlier blog the old road was made many years before the transition. I found a way to make a video on the state of this new road. I fitted my phone to the rear view mirror with Press Stick once I had switched it on. I wanted to make this video before the road dissapears altogether .
The video`s are on youtube Ā http;//youtu.be/u2ZKRbFYJf4Ā Ā Ā Ā click on the link and see part of the hell drive.
The return trip all the cement washed out with the rain.Ā Ā http://youtu.be.com/X3bf_MHUIj8&w
as I love to make bread in my bread maker it was quite funny to find this bread slicer for home made bread, it works like a mortice block used in my wood working efforts.
I Love Alice
š
She does grow on you. I now have to brush her with a scrubbing brush every morning before she goes ” walk about “. š
That road looks treacherous!
In my little golf it`s quite a bumpy trip to town. It was so bad during the rain that people were trying the unfinished side and sliding all over the place. With the name that is very similar to “Vuvusela” they probably haven`t been doing construction before 2010. š I hear that they are going to have to redo the road as it is just breaking up. I just worry that the rates will go up to pay for it.
Glad I don’t have to ride that road..:)
I have never seen a new road as bad as this, only a few weeks and it`s worse that the old one. All the potholes are filled with cement and break up within days.I`ve heard of Chinese roads but African roads are worse.
Enjoy your trip to the states, I think the roads should be a bit different there. But don`t worry a Harley will go most places. š

Potholes are away of life here since 1994 but you would expect a road to last more than a couple of days before the potholes appeared, especially on a new road.TIA.
[…] you feel like hiding away from humanity?Ā Being on a farm with a host of demanding animals andĀ a new road that is worse than the old oneĀ is bad enough. Today was the final straw, I went looking for the pig and found […]
Crappy roads but I like the bread slicer š
Yes for a new road it`s the biggest load of crap I have seen. Every time it rains large stretches go down to the foundations.
The bread slicer is very similar to my mortice block except you can`t cut a 45 degree slice. š
