Have you ever tried to find out how many hits you have on your blog? There is a section called stats but that is just confusing to me.
If you click on the left hand side of the black bar it states that I am getting 5 hits every hour in the last 48 which would make 240 hits, but according to the same stats I only got 10 all day.
They also state views and visits as different items, that seems strange as I thought you either got a hit (visit) or not. I think that ” Likes ” are classed as comments but to get 294 they must have added them together.
These are some of my better days according to the stats but my best are the ones below when people actually comment and give guidance.
Most of these friends have moved from site to site and kept in touch by email, which means a lot. As far as blogging goes most of us do not use our real names as friendship on the digital highway can be fragile. It is very similar to the CB days of the 70`s when lots of people were surprised and sometimes disappointed when meeting the voice behind the handle (username).
On a lighter note I have found a few jokes……….
If you`ve been there you will understand.
Is this what happens to Super Hero`s when they get old ?
Animals to watch out for…..
He loves to go for a walk in the Park.
If you`ve read this blog maybe you need one of these…………
Just to cheer you up, some body has to go to work tomorrow.

Would be giving you all sorts of advice here but, instead, I’m off to find the gear required for my new job. I’ll be back once I’ve made my fortune – shouldn’t take long
That margarita idea is brilliant – see you later
Any advice is always welcome. If you keep the margarita`s in the fridge overnight you may have problems wearing them in the morning.
Your right stats are not the bottom line, especially if you just blog for the fun of it and can interact with other bloggers. I do notice that some people manage to click likes on 3 blogs within a minute, they must have very fast computers or are trained speed readers.
One thing that puzzles me is that on iblog I get over 2000 hits a day even when I dont blog there. This has been going on since last year.
Visits are from unique visitors. Views are how many times posts or pages were viewed. They also include visits from yourself. If you write a post or update your site and come back often to see how it looks you will cause your stats to go up unintentionaly. But this would only be the views that would go up.
Visits would go up from the same user if they read the blog on a different browser or mobile device.
thank`s for the info. I was just very curious because of the great jump of hits to my iblog site where I suddenly got 2000 more than any others on the site, although my avatar seems to have dissapeared.
I do notice that on wordpress they have separated visits and views.
Hahaha, I love your ‘animals to watch out for’. Hilarious!
Thank`s for the comment. They keep telling me that pigs are very dangerous, so I think I have been very lucky.
Love your animated pics! I have never tried
Thank`s. It is easy to make animations in .gif form, the program can be downloaded from my webpage. I separated it from Paintshop Pro5 and it still works well. i have a latter versions of PSP but it hasn`t got the animation part separate.
I don’t believe those stats. I can get 40 comments and 80 likes, and yet the stats tell me I’ve only had 5 visits.
btw… I love your sense of humour. You always make me laugh.
I don`t believe stats either. Glad to have lightened someones day. A laugh a day is always a good start.
